Nicky Cairney – No Angel
Scottish singer songwriter Nicky Cairney has come a long way since featuring as a singer for electronic acts such as Elemental, Ammonite and Biomechanoid. Getting back to basics and her guitar, she launched her solo carer in 2005 with the five track EP Scottish ‘Beneath The Hills & Fairy Tales’ an eclectic and dreamy mixture of folk, pop and trip hop. On her second solo project, ‘No Angel’, she rekindles her childhood dreams of playing and incorporating the celtic harp into her songs. Blending gentle earthy tones, haunting trip-hop vibes, catchy pop hooks and Celtic landscape dreams into a world all of it’s own, this gentle and soulful singer is not to be missed and best served by candle-light with a glass of your favorite wine.
